I am unsure if you can do this unless the air horn is the same size, but if you really wanted to you could rig up some sort of adaptor to fit the bottom of the air cleaner or the top of the air horn. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Hold on now. My 260 had a dual jet that looked like a four barrel. The air cleaner from my 260 two barrel fits on my 403 four barrel. I could sell you a rebuilt carb from my 260 and your four barrel air cleaner with fit!

I know what you mean. My 76 Cutlass S four door has one with under 50,000 miles. I sure don't try to pass.

I suppoze if the air horn was the same size you could use a r bbl air cleaner on it without a mod... I don't know if it would make any difference in punch from stop or anything if that is what you are looking for. Can you post up some pics so we can see what it is.

Hi. The 260 was made for smooth v8 performance, but mainly fuel economy. In 1978 technology. Less gas, less power. As for your cavalier, if your 260 had the same electronics hooked up, WOW. But you can still make a killer stroker out of a 260. Same block as the 350, 403. Read more of the forums. Find a 4 bbl intake and carb from a 350, bolt it on to your 260. the breather will fit, and your Cavalier might stay parked. It'd be a good start. Hope this helps. Jim.
