That was used on the 1980 Olds 307 in the Toro and Ninety Eight. It has the secondary air valves that are limited to only about 70 degrees of opening instead of the usual 90 degrees.

Hmm sound like not to good if secondary air valves are limited to 70 degrees. Is there a way to correct this? It is a 800 cfm? It was on a 455 that i ended up with.

Yes,there is a way to adjust the full opening of the secondary air valves, and the throttle blades.
Oldsmobile Quadrajets moved to larger primary bore, or 800 cfm capable in 77 or so. Some in 76 were.
It is a nice carb design and has good abilities when set up correctly.

You can file the stop that limits the air valve opening to get a full 90 degrees. This is the same thing people have to do when using a CCC carb on a larger engine.
