Ad blocker for "Smart Phones"

I seriously doubt if I am the only member who is an "Oldsmobile Addict" and checks in on the site as often as possible. Many, many times this is via my iPhone (just like now). Well, I experience a very high amount of advertisements, full page style, that has become a nuisance while reading about my favorite subject---Oldsmobiles.
I must first admit that I'm technologically in a time warp and don't know how to install a firewall other than with a torch and welder. Is there a way to block these unwanted ads on a smart device? I've asked my nephews, both in their 20s and much more up to date with electronics than I will ever be to help, but they couldn't find a solution for the phone; they did know how to block the ads on a laptop or a regular computer.
If the moderators or other members know of a way to limit or remove completely these unwanted ads, I would be forever grateful for their help.

X2 on all of the above. I visit this site on my iPad and have not found a way to make ad locker work. The ad pop up are becoming increasingly annoying

It is not just this site.
I do not have a smarty phone but I see my neighbors and friends struggle with them often. Seems every site they use, ads pop up all over, most full screen and many with no X to get rid of them.
I would not even consider getting one of these until an ad block app is available (and that works well). I wonder why one has not been offered so far...

You hit it on the head about the pop ups.I will never buy their products and if I already used the product I would switch. That being said, why would Tampax advertise on a car site. Last week they were the pop up. I know there's a joke there some where. Maybe "pop in" instead of pop up. Ken

Go to the AppStore.

Download Adblock.

Use this instead of Safari or whatever browser you are using on your iPhone or iPad.

No more ads.

Try accessing the site through the ADBLOCK app. I've done it a few times and NO ads.
