Y can't I edit my profile ?

this is what it says
nickd, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I have activated it
Can't reply to other peoples posts either.
Please help

Same thing happened to me

I'm not very technogeek smart, I just know that I like Oldsmobiles. I'm willing to learn, but I'm kind of a dinosaur that types with one finger and I get frustrated and just lurk around the site and stay quiet. Maybe Someday I'll participate more, but for now I'll just keep stumbling around until the light above my head finally lites up.

I bet you can do it know. You are a "registered user". Let me know if you can't and we'll check it again.

Just found your post, and man did it "strike a chord" with this fossil! What I found was that just by at least trying to get involved a} you learn a lot b}you start to get a sense of belonging and comradrie and c} you graduate to typing with TWO fingers. This site is user friendly and I'm not embarrassed to ask questions...gotta start somewhere!
