Make two more posts and wait until tomorrow. We do this to prevent spam-bots from infiltrating our site.

Welcome to the site.
Also we would enjoy seeing pictures of your car. Posting pictues and telling us how you got your car is one more way you can get enough posts to move off the newbie forum. John

Hi, and thanks. I'm from Sacramento, CA. I'm working as a contract in Iraq right now. I work on the International MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles. For pictures just google. Anyhow, on ebay I came across a '64 Starfire where EVERYTHING on the car has been restored. White Corinthian Leather, all the power locks/windows work, 20k paint job, rebuilt motor and trans, etc. He even let me listen to the car over the phone. My uncle test drove the car and both he and my aunt couldn't stop smiling. I paid $15k for it. He says he's spent 100k putting it together (a lot of that is probably paid labor, I don't think he did it all himself). The poor guy was court ordered to sell it because of a very very nasty divorce. I really feel for him, but I was in the right place at the right time. The only plans I'm going to make on the car is disc brakes, add a 700r4 (if I can find a junk slim jim flywheel), maybe have the stock carb rebuilt (it has and Edlebrock), possibly cam it up (or not....), and I've eyeballed the aluminum dual carb intake, though that may be too much. It all depends on how I like whats on there already. As for pictures...I've never posted pictures on a BB before so if I can figure it out...I will.

If you select the "Post Reply" button instead of the quick reply box you have a box below the composition box that is for options where you can select and then upload pictures as attachments. The option is "manage attachments".
