I think it's great for any new products for our Oldsmobiles but I'm not sure how much of a homerun this thing will be. I saw them advertised for $1895. By my math by the time you get one shipped to your door and pay for the balance job you will be at $2150-$2250 invested. By comparisson my Bryant Racing 8 counterweighted custom stroke billet crank was $2950 balanced to my bobweight and shipped to my door from California to Ohio. So for $700-$800 more you are getting a fully counterweighted, custom stroke, US made crank balanced to your specs.
Don't get me wrong, I truly hope this takes off for them. It would only encourage more future products but at that price point I think you are too close to that of a premium custom crank to balk at the extra 7-8 hundred dollars.
I think the true need was for a 4340 crank in the $1400 range to be highly successful. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong about that.

Straight to the point and very interesting point of view! Seems for the extra cost much better product can be had than this scat crank. If i were to build a engine at the level to require a billet crank! I would not choose the scat crank.JMO

I agree if you are only looking at $700 to $800 more.
