small block or big block?
i have heard the diesel engine blocks good for building a performance engine?.. are they considered a small block or a big block. i have a couple in cars that i am scrapping out and not sure what to do with them

They were 350 blocks, although I saw one in a Toronado that was a V6, kinda like they cut the front two cylinders off.
They are used in race applications and you might try a parts for sale ad to see if there's any interest from other members here.

D and DX blocks are small blocks. You should pull them. A lot of them are still in service as stationary power plants. So you should have no problem getting rid of things a hot rodder won't want like the injection pump and other diesel only items. Maybe even the heads. The short block is all anyone would want for a performance build. And most would be happy with just a bare block as most of the rest of it is never used.
