This project is our "shop" car which will be campained in the NMCA's N/A 10.5 series and other events.
I'm part of the original rules makes for the class and this will be our entry.
The chassis is 25.1E and will feature all of our products we currently produce and some extras.
Nascar based small block Olds, 450+ci, billet crank,aluminum rod,16.1cr, 40cc WPE "Z" heads 400+cfm, custom single intake(4500), est.1050HP N/A, 2650 lbs., Proflite 3 speed trans, WPE custom M/W 9" rear, WPE ladder bar, M/T 3062s(10.5) (12" M/T rim)rear, 24x4.5 tire 15x3.5 M/T front, santuff strut front end, M/W breaks all round.

Plan is 2010 Corvette 3 stage maroon red exterior/roll cage, with black accent stripe on hood? Can't remember the color name, but its sharp in the sun.

Awesome looking mock-up, Mr. WP! Talk about a sleeper (except for the Pro type hood, of course!. Keep the pictures/stories coming.

Couldn't you find a larger hood scoop? That looks like a cool project, wish I could do stuff like that.

Thanks for sharing Brad. Now you have to tell everybody what "UFO" stands for. I punched in your weight, and added a couple pounds for the driver. I came up with 8.51 in the 1/4 mile using this on line calculator-

I know you started building this car a few years back. I really like how you fabbed up the hood. That was a cool thread. I saw this guy had set the record in the sevens, in that class, back in April of last year. It may not be the current record -

My point is, do you think you can be competitive in this class with an Olds, with most of the field running low 8's. I really hope you can, but there's some really fast cars out there. I can't hardly believe this guy dipped into the sevens, naturally aspirated, with a 10.5 inch tire.

I was wondering how long it would be before you brought this over here, I have a semi-similar build going on.

UFO is on the trunk lid of the RUN TO RUND 66 w30 car which goes back to 1966. I think they meant it to signify Unidentified Flying Olds.

Rocks? You gonna mud bog that thing Bradly?

Pits with limestone for parking and/or roadways are the worst. That's one thing we don't have around here anymore.

Building a template based off the original hood. After alot of bondo and sanding it was ready for the mold.
I have the hood and decklid molds if anybody needs 61-62 parts.
