Any more pictures related to Phillips Olds? My car was bone stock but raced by a previous owner at Creeds dragstrip in Va Beach. It was originally ordered by Tench Phillips, I would love to stumble across a picture of it on the lot or at the strip!

I think the Ram Rod car was driven by Ray Hauser, a mechanic for Phillips Olds years ago. He still has a similar car with the same name I believe.

Thank you I enjoy staring at them myself, especially the ones I haven't seen before Like this one of a '71 droptop from what looks to be late 70's/early 80's

Not sure what or where it was taken, but it does have the uber rare '69 H/O droptop with the huge Hurst shifter mounted on the trunk.

The origin of the photo is interesting. According to the June 30, 1995 edition of National Dragster, the story goes that in early 1969, Jack Jones was at his day job, and got a call from Wally Parks. Parks asked him if he would be willing to pose for pictures for a trophy at Ponoma Raceway. Ponoma is a 16 minute ride from Glendora where the NHRA is based. Jack agreed and a number of pictures were snapped, including the now iconic photo of him with his equipment and a tire. Later that year, the famous Wally trophy was introduced. It is perfect because it is still the same design as in 1969. It does not evolve because it does not have to. Looking at it close, it really is a beautiful trophy.

There is a very cool story that goes with this pic. I'll try to find it so I don't mess it up with my aging memory

Was at the Brickyard Vintage Racing at IMS and spotted this.

I don't know anything about it. Tried to follow it back to the garage area to check it out, but lost it in traffic and never saw it again.

Definitely different Indy 68 S. Would that be a set of spindle mount BBS rims? And is that guy praying?

Well further examination shows the BBS sticker on the back quarter panel.
