Question 350 heads and carb

I'm looking at a 1970 convertible for my first classic Cutlass. It is very clean but I wanted the 350 4bbl. It has the matching 2bbl, lower compression ratio motor. I was thinking about maybe later making it like the 310 HP engine. Would this just be a matter of adding the 10:25 to 1 heads, 4bbl and manifold?

If this would do the trick can anyone roughly guess the cost for parts alone? I'm guessing it's not worth starting with the lesser engine but am curious either way.

Welcome to the site. The compression ratio is raised with hi comp pistons.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm no mechanic and I appreciate the info. I guess I should clearly not start there if I wouldn't want it as it is.

Add a Performer RPM intake, Qjet or Street Demon 4bbl and a mild cam. It will out perform the 1970 high compression 350 due to the original peanut cam. All on regular gas.
