Twin turbo HELP!! 66 442
I'm looking to add a twin turbo with intercooler setup to my 1966 Oldsmobile 442. I've never built a turbo motor so I was wondering if someone can let me know what I will need. Thanks in advance.

Well, you would need a pair of turbos, first.
:-)
I can't be much help beyond that. I know forced air induction motors usually use lower compression pistons, so... what was your budget again?
A normal engine costs like $5k+ so you are looking at 20k maybe?

Well I got a pair of t3/t4 turbos with an intercooler......looking for manifolds and I'm looking at a blow through carb from demon. Don't know what else I would need as far as heads, cams and the bottom end. Not looking to race it, just always wanted to have a turbo car. Maybe someone can post some links to sites where I can find the parts. I've been having problems finding the mainifolds for it.....

Exhaust manifolds?
Not likely. What if you were to use Toro manifolds, single outlet, turn them over to place the outlet up and forward. Then cut and weld to adapt the turbos.
This is going to be some seeeeerious fabrication.
I would imagine that the bottom end should be stout as you can afford [x2] if you want to run any serious boost, and enjoy the fun that comes with that. I defer to those with lots of forced air engine experience.

D/DX Diesel Block at minimum unless your goal is for 600-650hp or less and that's pushing it on a production gas block of big or small variety! Gonna need a good set of forged pistons and rods and possibly a custom crank depending on hp levels. Also will needs a good ignition to light the fire as well! This is a big dollar build unless you have tons of accumulated parts already!

I should have added that you can make gas blocks live with full girdles for big power but apparently I forgot to add it in my last response. I can honestly say that I think that single turbo build on V8TV is pretty awesome! BTR put that together and they figure it's 700+ hp! If you got the cash for a quality boosted build then by all means do it! I know it's going to take awhile before I can get my boosted NASCAR build off and running! Just don't be surprised at the house sized expense! I hope you go and do it! Twin turbos would be cool, just ask Gene Newton!

That's the stuff that flips my switch. I have a 65 425 block, unturned steel crank and a bunch of parts, including Aris custom made pistons, Joe Mondello Rods etc.-maybe the 64 F-85 pro touring car deserves it???? Every thing on the car including the 200-4R will handle the power. ( except for the converter and a roll cage) I'm 3-4 years from retirement don't know if I want to spend the $$$$
