Need "7040255" quadrajet and Fat W-31 balancer!

I need the 1970 model quadrajet part #7040255 stamped vertically on drivers side of carb. I also need the harmonic balancer for a Ramrod or W-31. It is thicker/fatter than the normal Oldsmobile small or big block balancer so it is easily identified. I appreciate any help or leads to acquiring these parts. Please be reasonable, this is not a concourse resto, I just want the correct parts back on my car. E-mail cdsmonte@msn.com .Thank you in advance for your help, Chad.

I appreciate that J but this post is 3 years old and you see how many and what kind of responses I have gotten during that time!

Hi Chad,

I was wondering if how you found those numbers and if you actually found the parts? Is the carb specific to the 350/325 HP? Do you have a number for the distributor? I have started bringing home the car and boxes of parts finally, from storage.

Cheers, Barry

yes, the carb is specific to the 70 W-31. the distr is the same cast # as the 310hp 350 4bbl motor (curve is diff for W-31 though).

both pieces pop up every now and then. but sorry Chad, my other balancer isn't for sale

7040255 carb

I have a complete 70 W-31 Carb that had a rebuild kit put in it about 10 years ago. I can send you pictures of it with the center section showing the correct unmachined area where the power piston was supposed to be.
