Brett, the 70 sport mirrors are repopped now. But, from what I've been told by a very reputable restorer on this site, they are NOWHERE as good as the OEM ones and they charge close to the same as what Vader is asking for OEM!

Vader - I'm guessing the mirrors also include the base gaskets?

I just had a pair of the repro's and originals in my hands over the weekend for comparison. They were $299 and didnt feel the same weight as the originals. So, probably thinner metal or glass? Possibly cheaper plastic internals instead of metal? For some reason they just felt/appeared cheaply made. Other than that, the appearance seemed pretty much the same, but who knows how long they'll last?
When possible, find originals! JMO

x2. plus as we all know, mainly with sheetmetal, fitment always leaves something to be desired on the repro pieces. We know originals fit.

fwiw, I paid $300 for a nice pair of originals several years ago.

mirrors

I had these listed for a lot more but no buyers I guess.
For the work one would have to do in order to get them this nice, it should be a no brainer. The repros are crap.

I have heard that no matter how many times or how well you prep them, the paint won't stick to the metal. Probably made of cyanide laced, asbestos impregnated, irradiated lead based, arsenic infused pot metal.
