1970 Hood Hinges NEW

I have a set of hood hinges that I bought new( I believe from Fusick) and had the correct zinc phosphate coating applied but I ended up using my original hinges so I do not need these anymore. 150.00 for the pair plus shipping. PM me if interested.

You may have a problem selling because they were originally gloss grey, hope this helps.

I have not seen any gloss gray. As far as I know and have read they are supposed to be gray phosphate coated.

ScottoW31 is correct....and the finish on them is correct...grey phosphate plated. If you soak them in oil, then yes, they'll look a bit "glossy" but these have the right finish on them.

No...those hinges in the pic above are definitely NOT the original finish. How do I know that? Look at the attaching bolts on the hood + fender. No way would the bolts exactly match the hinge. Look at the other fender bolts. The hinges may never have been off the car, but I'm pretty sure they were painted.

Thank you. Also, I went the the Muscle car and Corvette Nationals show in Chicago this last year with all the W cars there for the sole reason to look at finishes on these cars for my restoration of my W30 and they all appeared to have the gray phosphate hinges. Either way I am selling these hinges with the gray phosphate on them and I will take best offer for them. I have no use for them. I fixed and used my originals and coated the gray phosphate as well.

Here is the picture of my engine compartment. I think the hinges look correct.

Looks great! Very nice...love the alt...you can see on your hinge bolts how there is a color difference. The hinges you are selling look nice and will make somebody happy. I just bought a very neat hinge spring remover installer, Made in USA!!! A nifty tool if you mess with the springs or part cars.
