71-72 8.5" 10-bolt 3:23 posi rear,SS-code
71-72 Cutlass/442 8.5" 10-bolt SS-code 3:23 posi rear. This will be a show-quality rear when finished.There are zero pits or damage.I currently have the housing out to get hot-tanked and blasted.I can either have it epoxy-primed/urethane top coat,or have it powder coated.The original GM gears are perfect.The original posi unit will be rebuilt with new clutches and 300lb spring.All new Timken bearings/seals for everything.It willbe assembled,filled with fluid & additive,and ready to run.Backing plates are included,but no brake hardware. $1200.00 with steel cover. $1300.00 with W27 cover.

Brian, I have a '72 3:23 posi axle that you rebuilt for me about 12 years ago. It has maybe 50-75 miles on it since it was installed. It isn't as cosmetically nice as the one you're offering now - it has some pitting. Any interest in a trade for that one plus cash for this new one? I may be interested in upgrading for this nicer one since I'll be putting new lower boxed arms on that car soon anyway.
