Steve, I have the 880 37 amp version.. in excellent condition for sale. May have a buyer for yours, or would you trade ?

Just out of curiosity what makes this alternator so special? I am asking cause I took mine of my low mileage 70 and threw in the parts bin. Is any 70 this expensive or is this of a 442 or W30? Thanks

The 1100890 is the Holy Grail of Alternators, Extremely hard to find, and argueably only came on 1970 W30 cars with 3:91 gears.

The #1100890 and #1100880 came on all 70-442's

1100890 was the 55 amp alternator with the A/C option, 1100880 was the 37 amp non A/C alternator. These alternators only came on 70 442's, including W-30 optioned cars. These two alternators all came with the 6-spoke open face design on the front and had the raised finned/raised diamond design on the rear.

Also came on corvettes of 69 and 70 thus making them even rarer as those guys ate all the 70s up early on.
