71-72 hood not OAI

I have a decent hood, presumably from a '71 442. It's in pretty good shape but does have a little rot on the under side. Grilles are off hood (started to strip peeling paint from 1) but I have them along with mounting hardware. May not be for your concours resto but if you've got a rough hood on your '71-72 Cutlass, this would make a nice improvement.
Asking $75, no shipping. You'd have to get it from central NJ.

Is the top of the hood straight with no dents? Is there rot anywhere besides as shown in the photo? Thanks, Anthony

Hey Anthony, sorry for the delayed response....the only rot I see is that spot on passenger underside. Top of hood is very straight with not even a small dent to report. There are some good scratches in the paint (maybe 12-15, you can see in pic) but it is not rusted under them leading me to believe they were done while in storage.

Bump...
If you're in the NJ/NY/PA/DE area, I may be able to meet you half way. It would depend on where you are.

That's a shame it's still not taken. If the paint is original its from a 71 442 with the Y73 stripe package. But you're right - it will fit both 71/72 and VC models. It will not be correct for 72 A bodies with AC though.

Thanks for the info Allan. Paint appears to be original. Painted black stripe is very nice. The guy I bought it from did say the hood was from a '71 442.

While that sounds like an interesting idea, I'm still trying to get spousal approval for my 455-block coffee table, driveshaft flagpole and, my newest addition to the garage, my 350 turbo trans end table -->
