Q-jet 70' Toro 7040252 - Replated

70' Toro Q-jet 740252 re-plated and rebuilt by Cardon. Looks NOS. Will need new type rebuilt kit installed that is compatible with new reformulated Ethanol fuels. $450 + shipping of $20 = $470 pad says: 7040252 RM 2899

NEW PRICE $290 + shipping as of 6/6/13

This carb. can work/function on any 70' and older Olds engines, BBO or SBO. Look at the pictures to attest to the excellent condition and appears to be in almost an NOS condition, although rebuilt. Q-jets in this condition are getting harder and harder to find, especially at this LOW Price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just asking, it is rebuilt but will need rebuilt again? It is correct for a 1970 Toronado?

deadds: yes, it was rebuilt, but with a kit that is not compatible with todays reformulated fuels or ethanol. This carb has always been stored in a climate controlled storage area and does not need to be rebuilt. You would only need to replace the gaskets, needle and seat, and accelerator pump that is rated for the newer fuels to be safe and for the carb to function properly. The Daytona Parts Company in New Smynra Beach, Florida has a carb. kit that would fit your needs at a reasonable price. For the last 30 years they have been doing my own personnel carbs as well as my customers and I have never had a problem!!!

The carb number is correct for a 1970 Toro.

Cardin was a very famous carb rebuilder. Why I bought this carb was because of the excellent condition and the fact that it did not need to be re-colorized which is expensive. Due to the EPA requirements for the license and waste management requirements it was prudent to buy the carb back in the late 90 s. To re-colorize just the fuel bowl, air horn, and choke housing is $150, so this carb is worth the price I am listing.

I would be more than happy to get the proper kit from Daytona Parts Co and install it for you, however the firm price would then be $450 which includes the kit and labor, would need to be paid in advance + shipping charges for the kit from them and the shipping charges to you.......I would warranty the carb that if not satisfied I would refund your money less shipping.
