70 w30 intake "Oldsmobile" 9-18-69

your killing me, would love to have an extra one - especially the mint one. Interestingly the flange near the # 5 and 7 cylinder looks just as thin as mine, is your mint one like that as well. They seem to be very thin flanges.

w30 intake
Steve, I had a cheaper early intake that was jet hot coated, but somebody on the board said it was worthless. So I chucked it !
BTW, that nos post rear 1/4 I have is just down the road from you.. I know you don't need it, but you never know.

intake
Usually, harder to find = more value, but I'm no expert, just my .02

Since I would like to have another one I'd say they aren't worth anywhere near the "OLDS 455"
Yes, Eric, most likely less were made with the full "OLDSMOBILE" script. Technically maybe not, its just that the 71 and 72 had "OLDS" only on it as well, different part number but from the top once mounted any late 70 - 72 W30 could use the same manifold

No and No
I have purchased rare and hard to find parts from mike in the past and will likely buy more in the future from him.
In economic times as these the prices may seem steep.
Reality is he paid a price to be able to offer this intake or other items for sale
to you me and or R2D2

Your word is good enough for me, even if I hadn't already formed my own opinion Thanks Brian. So many of you on this board exemplify what's best in us. The ready ness to offer help and advice. Very cool people you all are

I concur about the integrity of the members here. I'm surrounded by people every day that are,,,, well, lets just say they are les than honest. The people here are a great bunch and almost form a type of "brotherhood bond". I have joined another site that is devoted (but not limited to) post model cars. The name is "2doorpost.com", and so far, I as much, if not the same about the group there.
It is unfortunate that there is always going to be a "bad apple" in every bunch, but here and over at 2doorpost, evryone seems genuine and willing to help each other.
Now, I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but it seemed (to me) like a good time to chime in. In this world of trickery and treachery, it's always good to know who you can trust; especially when buying something that is 40-plus years old, and doing business sight unseen.
