Replica 3" canister fuel pimp

1978 Toronado with 403 says the interwebs

http://www.carpartsdiscount.com/auto...ml?3593=285757

$25 for a generic unit

Replica tall fuel pump

Looks just like the real thing.

13050_FPJCW-10__zps3c8ef53d.jpg

Even the AC logo looks right.

Proper 40736 stamping in the correct font and spacing.

Not sure what it is perfect for
AC/HDC Toronados of the 1970-72 vintage I'd guess.

Let's start at $150 delivered USA-50, or make an offer.

Last time seen, never.

Oh, ps, it's not really a replica, that was just to annoy pogo

it is actually an NOS part

RE: Thread title. What a disappointment. I thought I was gonna see a fuel pimp, or perhaps Inspector Clouseau's version of a fuel pump.

LOL now THAT's funny! I too have to admit I was drawn to this thread by the "spelleng" mistake...ducking for cover now.

NOS? Well that'll sure draw someone in. Just have to go buy a 70-72 Toro to use it on

Good luck on the sale.

I love that "Fuel Pimp" photo, that's amusing.

doing more research on what this thing is for.

BTW, the '66 442 I helped restore... could not find an NOS pump, and that would not be THE SAME anyhow, so I went so far as to duplicate the exact "AC" logo off the original, and put it on the new part...

AND...

Duplicated the little boss with the 40xxx number on it, and put THAT onto the new pump... so that it LOOKS exactly, to the best of my ability, like the original.

OMG, what a FRAUD..... 'cause it looks right, but is not, original.
