400 CI BB Engine, Motor. 1967 442 New re-build. Out of a Turn Pike Cruiser

1967, 400 CI. I bought the car this engine was in 10-15 years ago. Had the engine completely rebuilt. The engine was in a 1967 Cutlass Supreme Turn Pike Cruiser I was gonna clone. Never did do that. Bought a real 442 instead.
Never installed it, never started it.
Engine is for sale. $4,000

Engine #: 390925E
Head #: V218028

Boise, Idaho

I talked to him. I think he most likely still has the motor.

His asking price is $5000.00

Was this a completely stock rebuild? Which heads does the motor have?

Took it out of a '67 TP Cruiser. Been sitting for at least 15 years.
I cannot find the paperwork telling me what I had done.

I can only recall that I had the HP bumped.

Sorry, should have been more clear. What Capital letter do the heads have on them (i.e. B, C).

Probably "C" heads based on the following

Head #: V218028

V Code Starting = 1967 C Head
V Code Ending = 1966 B Head

Also, in the first pic, when magnified you can see the "C" Head pretty clearly.

Question for the engine guru's ......... No disparagement intended ........ what should one be on the lookout for, or possibly consider replacing before attempting to start a motor that has been rebuilt, never run and sitting for 15 years?

I would personally buy a new gasket set for that motor and sealants and I would disassemble the motor check everything, clean anything that needs it and mic the crank and rods if everything is good I would reassemble. Its not that hard a weekend job and then you are confident it will run good, 150.00 worth of gaskets and sealers and a weekend is worth the effort and peace of mind!!
