SS1 Wheels, with tires, very good condition, (2) $200

2 original SS1 Wheels, in 15x7". These have 2 good 235/60-15 Eagle GT tires with approxomately 35-40% tread. These just came off my 1970 Cutlass Wagon, and really look nice. One wheel has a 1.5" curb scratch on the very edge at about 4 o'clock on the photo, but it is hardly noticable on the car, and I never even saw that until I removed it from the car this week. The rest of the chrome looks nice. The tires are mounted blackwall, but could be turned around to white letters if you want to. There are no hubcaps. Wheels are located in Maysville, GA, just off I-85 North, exit 147. About 60 miles NE of Atlanta. Paypal accepted. The UPS truck runs by here every day, and I will be glad to throw them on there, if you arrange shipping, or you can pick them up here in Maysville, and we can talk about cars. Thanks for looking.

SS1 wheels

That's what I thought the first time I saw the wheels, but they actually are Olds SS1 wheels. You can click here to see the same wheels for sale at Summit Racing, clearly labled Oldsmobile SS1 Wheels.

http://www.summitracing.com/search/?...20wheels&dds=1

The more familiar Oldsmobile Ralley wheels are the SS2 and SS3 wheels. Thanks for your input.

Original vs Repo

So then they are NOT original Olds rims as you initially posted. They are REPO versions of the 14 x 7 inch original Olds SS1 rims done as a 15" rim. They could not be original since Olds never made that rim in 15" form.

Semantics....it bights us on the *** all the time.

Anyways good luck with the sale...they are great rims...I have them myself & your asking price is very fair. SS1 rims look good on any Olds & the 15" rim size allows a far greater tire selction than the ddwindling supply of 14"rims.

They are Buick wheels. Olds spokes are tapered. Wider towards the outside. Buick are straight like those.

The spokes on Buick wheels are concave; Olds, Pontiac, Chevy, Ford Mopar are convex.

Just so potential buyers are aware, the wheels listed above are Buick wheels.

Buick:

Oldsmobile (Notice taper on spokes):

You guys must be pretty smart!

This is exausting! These wheels were on the car when I bought the car. I was not trying to fool anyone by selling them Buick wheels!

I just bought 2 15X8 wheels for the back, to match the two 15x7's on the front. the car looks great with the bigger wheels and tires to fill out the rear fenderwells.

The 2 I got for the back are from wheel vintiques. the 2 on the front were on the car when I bought the car, and appear to be original. The new wheels match the others perfectly, with only small small difference that I can see, being the slots have a slightly different stamped outline. The spokes are the same on both wheels.

Wheel Vintiques sells these wheels as Olds SS1 wheels.

They would look good on someones Oldsmobile. (or any other gm midsize car) I just thought someone on the forum might need 2 wheels.

& the collective "WE" are just trying to educate you and any potential buyers what the original application of the wheels is.

BTW - ZERO (non-fleet) '70 Oldsmobile a-bodies came with 15" wheels.

Oldsmobile did not make any 15" SSIs.
