Thumbs up Restored cruise control servo – mid 70's

SOLD!
I have no idea what car this came off of, but looks very similar to mid 70’s Olds.
Rubber is in good shape, very good for its age, without notable cracks.
Unit was disassembled, cleaned, derusted, and metal parts painted with Eastwood’s durable “silver cad” enamel.
Rod was painted semigloss black.
Measures 5.25” dia at the strap, 5.5” overall length, and the metal “loop” is about 2.75” long. Center stud is ¼”-20 and nut is included.
Holds a vacuum well without sealers, just as it did before resto. Last picture shows this...

Comes with 90 day unlimited mileage warranty.

Asking $60 plus shipping. I bought a used nasty but working one for 50 and a NOS one for 170!
Money orders or checks only.

The 85 should have a servo with integrated solenoid valves in a fat plastic body. If yours look like mine, it is from an earlier year.

I have one of my own I need to get busy with, too.
Still on the lookout for a spare stalk and dash switch for the Vista I shall get someday in the future.

Agree. I saw 3 identical to that on 78 Toro's that were in the boneyard this summer. Maybe I should have picked them up. They were all complete units.

Yeah, that was this past summer. They're in Toro heaven now. I was really surprised to see all 3 of them lined up side by side (pick n pull). Not a single one of them had collision damage. But they all had that 403 no one really likes a lot. I check the local yard regularly. This past summer they also had a 71 Cutlass flattop. Body was shot but there were other usable parts I managed to get. It was a 350 with AC but not much else.

Rob,

Do you by any chance have the mounting bracket for the servo?

Sorry, I do not have that bracket or any other cruise parts available for sale.
Post a "parts wanted" post as someone should have them.

BTW, welcome to the site!

Hey Rob,

Nice job restoring the servo, it looks great. I believe this is for cars like mine. I can't believe how many of these I've passed on over the years between parts cars I've had and cars in yards. I found an NOS one at the centennial show back in '97 (no idea what I paid for it back then) and other than that, I think I have maybe a spare or two. Nice to see that you took the time to save it and restore it for somebody.

John
