1972 455 Block, Heads & Crank--POSSIBLE W30 (Northeast WI)
I have available a 455 Block, Heads and Crank that came out of a 1972 W30 442!! The previous owner dropped two valves and did not want to mess with it. One cylinder was damaged. HOWEVER, this is a STANDARD BORE (4.125") block and I am 99% sure an overbore will clean it up--I do NOT think a sleeve will be necessary. The serial number on the block is #32M447628 (Do you have this 442 and need your matching # motor?!?). The heads are Ga heads--original 1972 W30 heads. One combustion chamber has a slight gouge in it, but a slight bit of metal massage will clean that right up as well. There does not appear to be any seat damage. Finally, the crank is STANDARD (2.5" & 3.0") and shows no damage!!
I have Hi-resolution pictures I can send via e-mail, as shrinking them down and posting them here would not show the detail necessary. E-Mail or call with any questions!!

I've had a couple of inquiries, but I'm guessing location may be an issue, as obviously shipping costs become an issue. I'm looking to get $350 for everything. I was thinking this is a friendly price, but if I'm off-base, could someone weigh in?? Thanks!

A late June 1972 442 W-30 would have a VIN derivative somewhere in the 2M245*** range.
Also measure the intake valve size carefully. W-30 cars got 2.072" intake valves. All other 455s were 1.99" or 2.00" including Toro engines.

Are you 100% sure this is a W-30 sourced block & are you sure you have posted the VIN derivative correctly?. I ask becasue I have a very late production 72 W machine & your block vin derivative is a a couple hundred thousand units after mine.

Rest assured, while I may be a newb to this forum, I am neither an Olds nor BB rookie. LOL!

But you made no comment on the block VIN. Are you sure it is correct?. I ask becasue there is no reasonable explanation for this block to have a VIN that is so high compared to the latest produced & documented 1972 W machine VINs.
I responded to your email & sent you pics of door tags with VINs for 2 other 1972 W machines built in Feb & Jun of 72. The June 72 VIN is 32M245470. It makes no sense for your block to be 32M447628. Possible that the first #4 is a misstamp as it should be a 1 or a 2 not a 4.

So the heads "may be" W-30 heads based on the 2.07" valves.
