Otherwose, I have always used duct tape to secure a deep well socket (larger so harder to lose inside the engine if all goes wrong) to an extension, 1/4 inch drive, and turn it counterclockwise with a ratchet.

I've always used a reversible variable speed drill motor with the setup you describe, and now use the battery powered DeWalt to do the same thing. Works like a champ.

Since the OP doesn't have any more to sell, I'll note that for $7.99 you can buy a Ford 351 priming tool on Amazon that works just fine for an Olds. Same 5/16" hex and no socket to come loose.

Hi,
Does the Ford tool work on the 215?
Thanks.

Nope. The 215 is a Buick-derived motor and needs a flat blade priming tool, not a hex.
