72 floor shift tilt column

i pulled this from a 72 Supreme. it is tight and includes the key and door lock assemblies that match the ignition key. one of the door locks i can't get to work but the other one does. it worked in the car and was tight but that is about all i can tell you about it. it is black. i don't need to sell it but thought i would offer it for $300 shipped in the US. i can email pictures.

Wow. Glad you sold that quickly!

I would have bought it for my Chevelle, and I REALLY don't need to spend that money right now.

I remember when I sold them restored,with levers,for a whopping $250.00.Now I would need $425.00,or it wouldn't be worth it.

I'm curious,

How do you guys ship a steering column? How do the turn signal levers stay intact during shipping? I'm worried they'd snap off?

I take the levers out,or leave them out, wrap them, then wrap them to the side of the column. The tilt lever is threaded,so just unscrew it.The turn lever is held in by one screw, which can be accessed by removing the top dust plate on the column.

Cool Brian!

Guess it shows i've never taken my steering column apart huh?

It'll probably happen evetually, but how do you assess whether your column needs replacing? Currently i have a non-tilt column, but i really dont mind it.

Last one I shipped, I took off the levers and put it in a Home Despot 6" or 8" (I forget) concrete form "giant paper towel" tube (cost $4).

Worked great.

Cool! Great idea!

I might have one left over from my deck last summer. Too bad i dont have a column to ship to anyone. Oh well.
