$900.00 is more realistic for an NOS pair of 1970 Cutlass 'S'/F85 grilles.Yes,that person has them listed for $1,350.00,BUT there are NO bids,so we can only see if someone feels they need them that bad.
There are a few other people I know that have an NOS pair, unless they sold them.

What they are listed for and what they are sold for are two different things.
Even if someone buys these for 1500, does not mean that all of this kind in the world are suddenly worth that. It is just what one particular person is willing to pay at that time.

Nothing wrong with running Supreme or 442 grilles in your Cutlass;they're cheap and easy to find. (But us real Olds guys know the difference)

Wow, I had no idea my incorrect S Grilles were such an upgrade from the Supreme grilles I should have. I have a really nice restored set on my car. This makes me want to find a correct set & sell mine.

The 442 grilles are repro'd, the Cutlass grilles are not. On the other hand, once again don't confuse asking price with selling price.

I completely agree with you.. and what someone pays today could be less or more tomorrow. So Joe, would you put repro grills on a 100k 71 w30 ?

I'm always confused by people's logic, or lack of. Some always gripe about the cost of parts that are specific to a special car. (carbs, dist, intakes, etc). Complaining on hundreds of dollars on the few parts that literally make the car...the car. Yet, the same people pay the body shop, restoration shop, chrome shop, etc, whatever the bill says.. no problem.
It's crazy...

and IMO, Ebay is a the best advertising tool there is.. you don't have to sell, but you can make good contacts.

Yep yep. Lots and lots of posted items never sell and just end up being re-posted again and again. However! Ebay is a pretty amazing source for rebuilding cars/motors, you gotta search but you can find the great deals. Take some time to look up fender prices between ebay and yearone sometime, or cam-kits, theres some amazing deals out there. Window track for my sister's 99' Grand Am was $25 used from a junkyard, $120 from a parts store, $35 on ebay with motor included, now thats a deal!
