Thanks for the welcome, great forum

I understand what your saying. I was trying to let everyone know that these grilles where NOS in 93 when i got them. I have a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible and I will be adding pics soon.

Did you get your correct grills, if not, I would be interested in a trade for my NOS ones and plus cash.

Is this a good deal for '70 NOS grills?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-GM-Oldsm...item4ab188603f

I wish they were '70 442 NOS grills, then I would be on them like a duck on a junebug for that cost!

If they truly are NOS? I'd jump on them. The exact same grill as a repop is the same price at Fusicks. But for OEM fit? I'm finding issues with my 72 repops - they take a bit of modification to fit right. I think the seller has used the Fusicks catalogue as a price guide .

The NOS 70 Supreme grilles are the easiest of the 3 styles to find NOS,but are still not cheap.
When Nate did his red car last year,he had a set of NOS 442 grilles still in the box,but he actually used a set of repops that I got from Fusick. Not sure if he will sell the NOS ones or not,but I will ask.I have been having all of my original grilles restored by Dan Macal,in Florida. They are better than anything when he's done. He's got a process down,so I let him handle them.

Brian, I am sure he can fix cracks, but how about replacing edges that have broken off and missing? Can he put the correct texture back on the parts of the grill that new parts were fab'd?

If you have had good luck, I will get him to do mine also.

What would a set of '70 442 NOS grills go for?

I had a pair that were missing the inside curved edge, that wraps behind the tooth, and he either cut sections from a donor grille,or made his own.He has the correct silver, and it has enough sheen or clear, that you won't have any problem cleaning them,or leaving fingerprints. One thing I noticed with a lot of GM grilles is that they didn't always paint them very well.I think my W31 grilles were shot from one direction, and didn't get much.there was more bare plastic than silver.Dan goes all around them,so nothing is missed.call it over-restored.I'll get some pictures of some of my grilles posted, when I get a chance.I also have him do a pair of the headlight plastics, with each pair of grilles, just to make sure everything matches.

Just ran across this post. I know it's old, but if you still have them I'd be interested
