hey ,ihave a motor for sale ,you may think im full of it but here goes
1970 hurst olds 455 with yes i said with the famed "E"heads.....no im not on glue.....e mail me im open to all reasonable offers but more concerned
with the motor finding the right home/car it is standard bore and bone stock with very low miles highest bidder may not get it ,also a new turbo 400 with stage 2 shift kit.

Maybe you should sniff some glue....there was no Hurst Olds in 1970.....the HP 455 in 70 was the W-30 and they had F heads. E heads came on every other 1970 455 engine so your engine appears to be just the plane old ordinary 455. No mega dollars will be coming your way it would seem.

Oh well, I would still like to know where the engine is located. Something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

There was a guy 15 minutes down the road from me that had a 72 Olds 98 for sale with a 455 and TH 400. I would have been willing to buy the engine and tranny from him but he was set on selling me the car as well. Don't get me wrong, I really like big cars; however, the more I drive my 64 and the more compliments people give me the more I want to keep it. I wasn't about to buy another project. Plus, it didn't even have as much class as my 64. And it didn't even run (it had been sitting in his field for 25 years).

Thanks for posting your city and state, but yes I suspect it would cost a pile of money to ship an engine that far. I know Texas is a big state, but have you talked with texasred yet? He may have some contacts that could help you. Posting a parts wanted ad on this site may also help find contacts in your part of the country. John
