1970 442 RAM air hood

Original 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Fiberglass Ram air hood
Included are locking hood pins and lock plates
Overall condition is very good
Under hood steel structure in very good condition
No major damage or stress cracks
Very nice original hood to complete your restoration

is these any screening on that hood? like at the entrance of the ram openings?

The screen would be on the bottom in which this one does not have.

screen for ram air hood

The screen is not on this hood.I will look for it.I might have it with other parts I have.Interested?Let me know.Thanks,Tim.

The screen is actually tack welded on. If someone who has one could post what gage of screening it is, I'm sure it can be bought cheap and cut to fit; then tacked on and painted

You can see how the screen is placed in this (I know it's a 71/72 but they will be the same on 70) one from Thornton

Many folks have tried to find exact matching screening with no luck. Though I bet something is out there that would look fine to 90% of people. If you have the screen it would be nice

When I bought the OAI repop hood for my '72, it came with a pre-formed screen... kinda reminds me of the mesh you'd use on a rabbit cage.
