71-72 OAI trade for 70 OAI

hi, i have a 71-72 real oai that im looking 2 trade for a real 70 oai in the SAME CONDITION, this hood has not been on a car in around 14years its been hanging in a garage, i know because i sold it 14-15 years ago for 400, the frame is CA rust free without any repairs, the frame is very very solid! the upper fiberglass has had no repairs but does have 2 stress cracks 1 thats so small i didnt see it untill the 8th time i looked at it, it does have chips/scratchs in the paint but nothing deep just paint scratchs, the screen was removed in the last 14 years, over all this is 1 of the best none restored OAIs ive seen!! im going 2 want a 70 oai in the same condition

im a body/painter im going 2 repair the stress cracks and feather fill them in the next week

Just a suggestion, Brian:
If you trust your packing skills more than his, then build a crate which properly supports an OAI hood, ship your hood to him, and have him use the same crate to ship his back to you. Plus, you get to keep your crate.

brian i found a place in sacramento that will crate it for 150-200 and ship it freight but it will have 2 be picked up from there yard closest 2 you, he said theylll build a frame and box it or use wood and crate it, so you can just pull it out the crate and put yours in and reship, he couldnt give me an exact price on shipping but said it sounds like around 200, i couldnt remember your exact city 2 find out the closest pick up point, ill call 1st thing 2marrow with your city 2 find out how close the pic up yard is, he said they dont like 2 deliver 2 houses but will its a extra $80-120 depends on how far away it is and if it has big rig access, ill email you if the info around 5 2marrow

When it comes to shipping things freight,it is always the cheapest to go dock-to-dock.Find out what company would be shipping it,and I'll see if I have one here.I'm sure you or me could build a nice crate for cheaper, but if they did it,it would put more liability on them,if it would get damaged. They built it.They shipped it.

Hey I was wondering if you still have the W-25 hood, i called and emailed you earlier. I will be in Sacramento this weekend if i can send you some pictures of my 1970 W-25 with 3 small stress cracks, comes complete with screen and chrome trim. It also has the tongue, this is an original with steel frame in perfect condition with no repairs. I will also throw in a lower air cleaner that is correct for this hood. You can pm me for a # for better description & pictures.
