1972 Rocket 350 Nodular 4 speed crank short block.
Got to clean up and get rid of the extras..hate to do it and will regret it, but hey...need to make room for the 455 build this spring!!!!!
Rocket 350 engine short block. I bought the motor for the heads alone. Casting number is 395558 2 Bore appears to be stock bore. There is no lip at the top of the cylinder. That is not to say that is has not been rebuilt, however a rough measurement indicates stock. Crank is either a nodular or forged crank, as indicated by the notch on the flange. It is also drilled for a pilot bearing to accept a manual transmission. Motor ran with no noises or smoke. Take it away for $200 Reasonable delivery can be arranged. PM me if interested. John |

I want this motor but your location is bad. I think it would cost as much to ship the motor as it would cost to buy it, ya know what I mean? ANY chance of you coming up near Chicago in the next month or so? I will have it rebuilt anyway. What I'm looking for is the crank to make my car a 4 speed. One part at a time eh? I'm thinking bigger pistons, big valve heads (2.00) and a stiff cam. I know my car won't ever be really fast but I want it to be more fun to drive. (I also own a'71 LT1 Vette, and an '04 Cobra, 475 to the wheels) Thanks, Jim
