Hello Eight, yes I should have some decent lenses. This afternoon I'll dig out a couple and get an idea the shipping costs.

Bryan, what transmission do you have in your 1969? I've got some extra drivelines that would fit a TH350 or 4 speed, I don't think I have a extra TH400 one though. If you decide to have one built, I've got some full sized car TH400 drivelines that you could use the slip yolk off of.

John,
I am running a TH400 in the 67. A few years back a friend repaired a minor crack in the yoke. Therefore, I am looking for the extra driveline, so I can have it beefed up.
A friend is taking his 65 GS to something April Nights in Redding CA next month. So I am hoping to convince him make a stop in Medford on his way down or back to pick up some parts. Otherwise I will have to make a road trip.

Thanks Bryan

John, you busy guy.

No hurry on the rearview mirror for my 67 Delta 88. Like the others, work your big buyers first. I'm still interested if what you have will fit my converttible.

I also am looking for a trunk lid solenoid (vacuum operated). I came across the button in the glove box but found no solenoid installed (just a dead end hose).

I'm in Spokane

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Eightupman, how about $12.50 for a pair of clean lenses, shipping included? If that works for you, pm your address and I'll get them packaged up.

Dave, I suspect the mirror is different between the hardtop and convertible. I looked at one in a 1968 and it looks different, I should have one I pulled from a 1967 but will need to dig it out. I do have the trunk release assembly from a 1968 Delta 88 and the rear decklid too, I can take some photos for you to look at and measure anything you'd like me to. The assembly looks just like the one in my 1968 442, but I've not measured them to see if they really are the same.

Bryan, I took photos of several intakes with different castings for the choke spring, none of them look quite like a ramp though. I posted some photos on my photobucket site. Look them over and if something looks close I can start looking for the choke coil

http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k257/2blu442/

Dave, I posted some photos of the 1968 350 #5 heads on the photobucket site too.

Darrin, if your too far away to purchase the whole pace car make up a list of what your looking for. I plan to start parting it out and selling parts on ebay in the next few weeks.

John, your right about the mirror. It is different for a convertible (I'm learning the hard way about the limited parts).

If the trunk lid latch assembly has the solenoid attached, I'll take it. Deck lid not needed, thanks.

Send me your price, including shipping costs. My zip is 99026 (Nine Mile Falls, near Spokane).

Thanks again,
Dave

Hey John,
I looked at the pictures and the bolt patterns on the Olds and Buick choke housings are different from the OHC.
Thanks for checking for me. Would you happen to have a remote side mirror, and cigar lighter for my 67 442? The restoration supplier's only carry standard left side mirror's, which I already have.

John,
Just noticed a request for TH400 parts in real olds power posted today. Not sure how often you check the parts thread at that site.

Bryan I don't think I have the mirror but I'll dig around. I know I've got the 1968 and up styles, but don't have a lot of 1967 spare parts at this time. Thanks for the comment on the trannie parts wanted, I'll check that site after I finish reading through the new messages here. John

1966 Toronado parts

Hi there...I was looking to acquire these parts from you:

Both door panels (deluxe model with power windows...don't need the swithes, just panels)

Front bench seat trim (covers for the back of the seats and the trim along the bottom)

rearview mirror (if only the mirror bracket is available, that's ok)

and...the metal trim piece on the rear window driver's side (pieces go around the back window...just need the one on the driver's side)

I saw the pics of the black interior...that's great...if you have autumn bronze somewhere...even better. Thanks for your time.

I've got a couple sets of doors from hardtop cars, but I don't know if they're different than what was used on a convertible. Also, I'm on the west coast so shipping may be a killer! If you don't get a response on this site, consider posting want ads on realoldspower.com and 442.com too. I also like to surf craigslist.org and have seen some real interesting stuff posted there too. John

Don't forget www.oldspower.com as well. Mostly G body stuff but there are a handful of us east coast guys that deal in A body parts.

Needing a few parts for my 70 4dr

Hi, Just needing a few parts for the 70 4 door hardtop I'm restoring. Hoping that you might have them available. Saw that you had a 4 door and a Vista on your photobucket pics.

Need a wing (vent) window, just the glass part, for the passenger side door.
Ashtry Door (black if possible) with any springs or mechanisms to keep it closed, mine was missing when I got the car.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Hi Chris
I know I have the wing window, not sure if I have an extra ash tray door in black. Just to be sure, did you want only the glass or the chrome frame that runs down inside the door? I have sets of doors from 1968 and 1970 4 door hardtop and post cars. Some day I'll have to clean house but it's hard to see good metal go to the crusher knowing someone somewhere can use it!

I only need the glass part of the wing window. A couple of years ago someone tryed to steal the car and they smashed the wing window out to unlock the car. The chrome frame of the window is still good around where the glass should be and I don't need the whole frame and assembly, just the glass. If it makes it easier for you, send me whatever you got, frame or whatever... it's for a 70 town sedan 4dr with post (same as the vistas). Need the passenger side only.

If you've got an ashtray door in any color would be fine. I can always paint it to match. I don't know what years specifically were the same, but I think the 70-72 were all the same dash on the Cutlass and Vistas...

You can PM me if you'd rather.

Thanks, Chris

Hi Dave
I think I might, I have lots of 68-72 parts. Is it a 2 or 3 belt pully? I still need to pull a window glass for Chris and look for some other parts so I'll try to dig around this afternoon and Saturday. John

What do you have for a 68 Cutlass S convertable ? Am just starting the body re-doing process and need mostly trunk trim, headlight eyebrows, mirrors, window and windshield chrome, windshield post chrome(both sides) and stuff like that. Any pictures of the '68 parts available ?
If pictures are available, how about sending directly to me at thomaswatk@yahoo.com

Are you wanting the wheelwell trim or the wheelwells cut off the car to weld onto yours? I believe the grills are both broken on the 1975 but I'll look next time I'm at the storage yard. John

I'm looking for the steering column grommet (where is passes through the firewall) for a 64 Jetstar. The column is ~2 3/8" If you have something that may work, please let me know.

Hey, just wondering what you're prices are for a 455, running or not. Also, do you have any control arms that would fit on a 65 Delta 88 2 dr, that use the ball joints that are cheaper? Also, do you have a turn signal assembly that would fit at that same car (it has a column shift)?

Thanks,
Cary

Hello Black, I've got a 1975 parts car in a storage yard. I've been trying to make room here at the house to bring it home and dismantle it. If I'm able to do that in the near future I'll send you some photos of the wheelwells. If they'er solid enough to work for you I could cut them off with my sawzall.

Jetstar, I do have one column from a full sized car that I thought was about a 1971. It does have a grommet on it but I'll have to climb into the rafters of the garage to check it out and see what size it is.

Oldsdude, I have several 455's and the price for a complete less carb rebuilder would be $250. That would include 1972 or earlier heads. I have lots of heads and manifolds to choose from, price may go up for some combinations. Your closer than most but unless you know someone on the West Coast it still may be difficult to get this to you. I've shipped lots of heads, cranks, and smaller parts but I've never shipped a whole motor.
Let me know if you want to talk more about an engine. I have a 1968 Delta Custom that's complete. If any of the parts you need interchange with that year they would be available, I just haven't had time to dismantle the car. John

Ok, what type of heads would be the best for performance on it, and what would the package run me? Also, what all is good on the engine, and is there any way we could arrange some how to get it either out here, or somewhere I could pick it up? Also, would either the turn signal assembly or the column, as well as the wiper switch interchange with my car?

Thanks,
Cary

Hi Cary, not sure how to get an engine to Utah but if you can figure something out here's a few options:
1967 Olds 98 425 4bbl with C heads complete except carb. $350
1968 Delta 88 455 4bbl with C heads complete except carb. $400
1968 Delta 88 455 2bbl with C heads complete $350
1971 455 2bbl runner with G heads complete $350

Most people like the C heads as the castings flow well and I've been told they can take more porting work than other castings. The G heads have hardened valve seats which are a plus with todays unleaded gas, but the early heads can have inserts put in for this too. The 425 has a forged steel crankshaft which is considered a plus for racing applications.

Redog, if your talking the gear reduction box that attaches to the transmission I don't have any of those available. John

I will probably see what I can arrange for shipping. I want to go with the 4bbl 425 w/ C heads. I do not know how long it'll take for me to get this done with, but I will let you know as I can. Thanks for all of this.
