NOS 70-72 Left Fender & Right Conv Qtr Pnl
Fender has 71-72 ripples, nos, has pn# sticker, clean, no box.
$700 + shipping. I will box (it'll be big) for free. I'll build a crate for $50. Qtr Panel - Convertible, nos, I think pn# sticker present, clean, no box. $850 + shipping. Will box (will be really big) free. Crate $75. Folks seem to feel Greyhound is the way to ship & both items should fit in cargo compartment. Would go out of Hartford, CT. With your help, could arrange pickup @ business in 06019. Can be delivered to nationals. Brian 860-693-4647 daytime(east) fvab@comcast.com |

Mine won't be there unless there is someone waitin for it!
Looks like I'm gonna have to find another vert to restore! Note of interest - restoring a 72 442 vert right now. NOS qtr pnl on right side - perfect fit, gaps, stamping integrity, etc. Goodmark on left side- couldn't find NOS in a geographically advantageous spot & no time to wait it out. Repo qtr shaped pretty decently but even w/ extra fitting effort gaps are large @ door & trunk, only so much can be done without completely reengineering the panel. Would not be acceptable to a fussy owner. Did GM ever send cars out that fit like this? possibly, but I can tell you there is nothing like the real thing - NOS drops on & fits perfect, w/ no irregular stamp deformities(will end up needing body work) like around the edges & trunk opening of the aftermarket. IMO the NOS is worth every penny for a quality resto result without hassles for the bodyman. |

there is a 33 actual mile LS-6 Chevelle that was featured in musclecar review that had cockeyed paint sripes from the factory, and the doors didnt even line up.
these cars were thrown together, engineered for maunfacturing, not for perfection.. |

No doubt about that! Anybody know how many "A" body cars were rolling of the assy line per day in the 68-72 era? Gotta be a lot! No doubt there was little care taken but the package was still attractive & overall decently engineered & well built. |
