Post FREE 350 Olds Parts FREE

Hello,
I have been looking around the site at all of the great information and Oldsmobile parts for sale. I have even purchased a couple of things from members, and I appreciate the good prices. Now I want to Pay it forward, sort of……. I need these parts gone, and maybe you need some small block parts. I have an Oldsmobile 350 block, heads, exhaust manifolds, rods and pistons. No crank. I only know it’s a 350 because it has 350 cast into the side of the block under the exhaust manifold. It was given to me by someone who thought it was a 455. It may have shallow dish pistons in it for higher compression. The bad thing is that I didn’t have storage for it, so it’s been outside in the weather for several years. I have a guy that will come and take it to sell as scrap, but I hate to do that.

The price is free as long as I don’t have to crate and ship it. It is sitting in a little trailer so it would be easy for me to bring to you in the Kansas City area. I may want a little gas money if it’s very far. I see on the Mondello website that they are looking for 350 blocks.

I am also looking for a low cost dual plane 4bbl spread bore intake manifold for a 455 Olds. A stock manifold is fine.

This just in..... The above motor comes with a pair of sligtly dented chrome valve covers.

Thanks!

Dan,
I have your number in my phone and I will call this weekend if it looks like there will be a time to have you come by. I was going to call you tonight, but we went out to eat, an then my son sucked the ski rope into the boats jet pump at the lake, so I spent sometime helping with that. It's all going again now. I will try to call you later this weekend.

Sorry, I have not been keeping up on my email since we have been taking care of a couple of elderly family members. I do still have the engine, but I also have someone who was planning to come and get it as soon as I move it to my driveway. If any of you still want parts, let me know and I will ask them if they mind if I give those parts away. I do still have the exhaust manifolds and the heads. Also, block, rods, low dish pistons and chrome steel valve covers. Intake and crank are both gone. This motor has been sitting outside for several years with the intake and one head off.

Thanks,

I can look for numbers tonight if they are still there. I know where the C is on my 455 jetboat, will the ID be in the same location for the 350 heads?

olds 350 head numbers......

Sorry for the delay. I just looked this evening and the head number is 3A. I already have one removed and can try to get the other one tomorrow night. What would you be willing to pay for me to take the head off, box them up and ship them?

Thanks,
Scott

That won't be necessary, I would have the same problem trying to make them work better than what I am playing with now. Thank you for your time.

Big J, I will leave the heads on the curb then. Dan, I'm lucky I didn't do much with it yet, or I'd be having to clean the water out again for this weather. I will be changing my exhaust manifolds soon and I have some bad wood to replace in the seat, and then it will be ready to go. I will let you know when I get it going. I'd like to take you for a ride and see if you can help me figure out if tuning, or Horsepower is what is keeping my speed down. I really want to hit about 65 with it this year and my best last year was barely 55 I think. I have a friend with the same boat and same basic engine and he is running well over 60. My compression is a little on the weak side, I will have to check it again because my brain didn't keep the numbers.

Talk to you later,
