So...
You are building a 403 motor, with 350 heads, and a 330 crank?

j-(Chicago),
Yep, but I'm using the heads and guts of a '69 Olds 350 motor. I just want to tuck away a 330 crank for a future project. |

Ah cuz I was gonna say... the journals should be the same on both cranks, and a forged 330 crank would be kind of a waste on a weak bottomed 403.
Good luck.

J-(Chicago),
Yep, I here ya. However, I'm collecting components for a 403 build that won't see over 5000-5500 RPM. I'm just building a nice torquey motor for a deserving donor car - probably a clean G-Body car or S/W. Heck, maybe I'll put it in a Chevy S-10 pick-up. It'll be a cruiser. A local motor shop I deal with built one for a customer who dropped it into a front wheel drive Buick Riveria. It made about 500 FT LBS of torque. It was a stock bottom end 403 with 350 heads (don't know what casting # head was used)! Those torque #s are pretty impressive for a mild SBO. I'll keep ya posted! |

Ya might want to pick up a flywheel or flex plate with that 330 crank. Cause your 350 & 403 stuff won't fit it, different bolt pattern. FYI

330 crankshaft
I've got a decent std/std 330 crankshaft, no pilot hole in rear, was from automatic. Has some light scratches/wear, will easily clean .010/.010. $75 plus shipping (I'm in Wisconsin). PM me if interested. Thanks!

I'd like $150 for mine. Without the shipping. Or the flexplate. |
