which primer ??
Am in the throes of removing a few panels to prep for painting. Some parts will be going to the metal but not all by any means. I would like to store these for up to a year without any further treatment(ie further coatings ) than de rusted ,and primed .
epoxy or etch ?? or neither.I heard etch doesn`t absorb moisture as much
any help here would be appreciated
thanks

Epoxy will work fine.
You don't really need to use self-etching primer on steel with tooth/been sanded.
I stripped my Vista Cruiser to bare steel and it was in Kirker Enduro-Prime 2K epoxy for three years and not a speck of rust.
I don't live in the desert either, bare steel will surface rust overnight here in any season.
We have iron-oxide rich blood.
Ironman don't set foot in these parts.
