Help Needed to Decode 1970 442

I will appreciate your help on decoding a 1970 442 convertible. The color is currently Yellow with a white convertible top and white interior. The trim tab is imprinted:
ST 70 34467 E 817
TR 970 WA 3893 B
048 orB A31

After finding a "matching number fully restored 71 SX" with a Buick Riviera transmission, I take no chances.

As usual, I appreciate any help that you can provide. The VIN is 344670E171520.

Thanks again, Twilightblue28A

That sure is an unusual trim tag when it comes to paint. Here is what I see.

ST 70 = style/model year = 1970

34467: 3 = GM division = Oldsmobile; 44 = model series = 4-4-2; 67 = body type = convertible

E = assembly plant = Linden NJ

817 BDY = Fisher body number (has no relationship to your VIN)

TR 970 = interior color and front seat type = black interior with bucket seats

WA 3893 B PNT: I have no idea what "WA 3893" means. It's in the position where the lower body color goes. You should post a picture of this trim tag as others may have a handle on it. B is the convertible top color = black

04B = time build code = April (04), second week of that month (B), 1970

A31 = option code = power windows

Hope this gets everything started!

If you want you can forward the email with the attachment to me and I will try to post it. If you don't want to include the text in the email just delete it before sending.

I have tried six times to send you the trim tab. I have received "permanent error messages" on each. I am unable to send you the trim tab. Very frustrating

That number "1" above BDY is something that appears on many trim tags. Other numbers also appear but I don't think anyone knows the significance of it.

This site is imperfect at times, but it seems like the code matches the yellow used by several other GM divisions.

But was Sebring Yellow the same code?

Maybe #WA3893 is the code for "sebring yellow"? My buddy's sebring yellow 442 looks a lot like a Daytona yellow Chevelle I've seen?

I would think so, but don't forget that Rally Red is not the same as Hugger Orange/Monaco Orange/Carousel Red.
