Finally got some paint on it.

I finally got the paint on it. I'm working on sanding & buffing it now. I'm sure it's a little too new school for some of you guys that like to see everything done as original as possible, but I like it.

Dude, it's your car and so far it looks like an old school car with a new school paint job....awesome! Like Richard asked, what wheels and stance? The car would look great slammed with 20" out back and maybe 18" in the front IMHO! Think it could work relatively easily Richard? Keep the updates coming!

I actually have a set of Coy's C-55s sitting in my office. 18x8 in the front and 20x8.5 in the rear. I'm going to get the buffing, assembly & upholstery work done then I'm going to add a full air ride set-up. May be a little while longer...

I've been a bit lazy on the buffing. I've got half the car sanded and I've been buffing the parts where the trim goes so I could actually start seeing some of it go back together. I've got 2 rear bumpers and neither of them is a good core. Anybody have one lying around?
I layed down the red first, then the gray, then the black and then buried it under 4 coats of clear.
The fresh 425 has since been cleaned up. I've hidden & rerouted most of the wiring. Hopefully I'll have some more progress to post soon.

The Hog had to go when I moved to Atlanta. Riding in this place is more stressful than anything else. I've never seen people drive so stupid. Plus, sitting in traffic on a bike is hot and definitely no fun.

been there done that. I made the mistake of letting mine go thinking a boat would be more family friendly

. I only ever rode out in the country, getting there or back. people are just stupid behind the wheel. It's like they think they are invulnerable once they "strap in". WTF

You can't go wrong with the bat mobile.
I finally finished sanding & buffing the paint yesterday. I took the dash out cleaned, polished and/or painted everything and put it all back in. As soon as I get the belt line weatherstrip kit & side windows in, and get a rear bumper the exterior will be complete. I'll post some more pics then.

Thanks guys. Even though I built it the way I like it regardless of what other people think, It's still nice to hear that other people do like it.

I originally attempted to start this project after Thanksgiving, but I've worked every weekend since.Not sure if I'm bragging or complaining. Anyway I still need advice or suggestion.It appears that the cowl is folded up in a verticle flange and the windshield track is th front part of the dash.Is the track welded to the cowl flange. Is the dash panel only tack welded at the A pillar?

I think you need to start your own thread!

And you should give it its own title and put it in the bodywork section. You'd be able to get more help there....
