Hello --
A friend and I are 'refreshing' a '79 Delta 88 Royale 4-door sedan (purchased new by his grandmother, and now his). It's in surprisingly good shape for having been stored outside for the past couple-three years and we'd like to replace the flexible panels between the body and the front/rear bumpers. All but one of the original pieces are intact; the left front panel was 'smushed' at the corner (as though the bumper was pushed-in against it, then returned to its orignal position) beyond its ability to regain its original shape. Is anyone aware of a source for reliable replacements? Are these pieces molded in the body color, or are they painted while on the assembly line? We've seen a few that'd work at local salvage yards, but his car is white, and all the junkers seem to be grey, red, green, or brown (the "What You Want Is What You'll Never See" factor remains alive and well in south jersey...). Thanks in advance to any who may respond. Kindest regards -- Paul! |
