I am considering buying a 1972 442 that I looked at yesterday. This car needs some restoration, but I am up to the task. I sure miss the 1970 W30 I had in the mid 70's. Here's the deal: This cars is a post top with vent windows. According to the VIN, there were only 123 or so made. Does anyone have any insight as to why this is a post top? I will need to replace the trunk pan and repair the two rear quarters. Everything else has already been done. i.e. new floor pan, new upholtry, headliner. It WILL get a new coat of the original Silver. I believe this is a Sport Coupe. (???)

Thanks,
Jack

RARE CAR!
This is the sport coupe.
This car is lighter than a Holiday coupe (Hard Top).
The drag racers prefered the Sport Coupe (Two Door Sedan).
