Walter & Lennertz Oldsmobile

Interested in any automobilia from Walter & Lennertz Oldsmobile, 6501 Broadway, Merrillville (Gary), IN.

With death of Walter it became Lennertz Oldsmobile.

Dave, post on AACA too if you haven't already. Steve Moskowitz bought Lennertz and ran it as Classic Oldsmobile (!) for many years till GM pulled the rug out from under him. He may have some stuff.

I too have quietly looked for this kind of stuff. I grew up in Hobart and my family bought several cars there. I hope to put a W&L dealer script on my 67 at some point..

The dreaded rivalry... I worked in Glen Park at Checkered Flag by the 49'th Ave. Ace hardware for a lot of years before leaving for Texas. Lots of memories there.
