SCAM.

Actual car is for sale by Fraser Dante Ltd, "Atlanta's Premiere Classic Car Dealer."

If this were the real dealer, he would have posted their name, as well as their address and other contact info:

10997 Alpharetta Highway
Roswell, Georgia 30076
tel 770-641-8354 * fax 770-641-8373

fraserdante@mindspring.com,

As well as the car's web page:

http://www.fraserdante.com/4560%20-%...3A/photos.html

Either that or it IS the dealer, trying to conceal the fact that the seller is a very large dealer...

Buyer beware.

Be interesting to know whether they are intentionally posting their cars for sale on unrelated forums (Triumph on an Olds site) without their company name, which would seem like a bad business practice to me, or whether someone has hijacked their information, in which case they might want to try to go after him.

Eric

FWIW

This car is long gone from FD and they said someone is scamming them. They wouldn't post TR 3 on and Oldsmobile site

"It's happened before"'

OP banned as a scam.

I find it hard to believe since they have this:

Now I can mention what I was originally thinking without the fear of offending a fellow car enthusiast...

I always thought of Triumphs, Minis, VW Beetles, etc. as escape pods for a car of Oldsmobilian (s.p. ) proportions.

Yeah, I think you could pretty much fit a Midget into the trunk of my '73...

FYI, these three lines say it all......

"Payment by cash or bank transfer ($17000 | €15500 | £13900). I can help with organising shipping. Only serious buyers please."

How does that indicate it's a scam?

If I were selling a car I sure wouldn't trust someone that sent a cashier's check with the tow truck guy because they work on an off-shore oil platform.
