Be interesting to know whether they are intentionally posting their cars for sale on unrelated forums (Triumph on an Olds site) without their company name, which would seem like a bad business practice to me, or whether someone has hijacked their information, in which case they might want to try to go after him.

Now I can mention what I was originally thinking without the fear of offending a fellow car enthusiast...

I always thought of Triumphs, Minis, VW Beetles, etc. as escape pods for a car of Oldsmobilian (s.p. ) proportions.

How does that indicate it's a scam?

If I were selling a car I sure wouldn't trust someone that sent a cashier's check with the tow truck guy because they work on an off-shore oil platform.
