Need help with springs and ball joints
I want to drop the car 2", similar to what Qwik71442 and other people here have done. Car is completely apart now. Originally 71 convertible 350 auto with air and steel hood. It's going to be an aluminum 5.3 with (probably) a 4L80 with air, OAI hood, 17" or 18" wheels and stock control arms. I have the KYB gas adjust shocks. I have about everything else I need to start putting the frame back together.
I need help picking out springs and ball joints to achieve these results. I don't know how the weight changes are going to affect my options.
Thanks

I went from a 455 to an iron block 5.3. Also replace the compressor with a much lighter Sanden. It sat way high and was really stiff.
I went with the chevelle small block, no AC springs and it sat at normal ride height.
You might want to check out the A body builds over at LS1tech. There are quite a few lowered cars there with aluminum block motors.
