need help with interior

1 have a 1957 olds holiday two door. does any one have any pics of interior of these cars. I want to go original and I'm confused a some things. Example there are three holes above the radio under the lip of the dash what are they for, any help on this car would be appreciated. I'm from Saskatchewan.

There's a couple of different ways you can find this sort of info...there should be some books that feature the '57. You can shop for original sales literature too. You can also look at '57s that are for sale. I've got a pretty large collection of pics of '60 Oldsmobiles from different cars for sale (a lot of them on Ebay) that I saved for reference. It's kind of neat seeing how different cars were optioned.

My '60 has a set of switches above the radio like you're describing...one for the power antennae, one for the interior lights, and a blank one that could either be for a convertible top, or (I think) the rear window on a Fiesta Wagon. '57 was probably similar.

interior pic

Hi
did you ever find out about your dash holes?
I'm restoring a 56 4dr. Not quite the same but I imagine it would be close. I've got hundreds of pics from when I started to dismantle her.
Let me know if you still need photos

Bret

Hi, The 3 holes are for 2 Courtesy Lights and 1 Switch. Find the Pictures on "Old Car Trader", Cars for Sale.

57olds,

Get yourself a shop manual, It details everything and is great help for these kind of issues along with wiring details, vaccum hose routing, engine, brakes, etc. You can find one on the internet or on e-bay.

These holes are used for switches..Switches that could of been there are courtesy lights, top ( for convertibles) , antenna ( for power antenna ), And there was also a blank chrome plate that was just a dummy plate.
