hello all I'm a newbie

I currently don't own a Olds. I sold my 72 original 455 v8 ragtop after owning it for 16 years back in November. I'm in Ocala Florida. I joined to see what cars are out there and get rid of my accumulation of parts.

Welcome aboard.
I'm sure the Olds bug will bite again. Was the 72 an original U code car?

Accumulated parts? Hmmm, that sounds familiar. There's a section of this site where you can list the parts you have for sale. What really helps is a description, picture and asking price. Be sure to put your location on either your avatar or in the ads so guys aren't always asking where you are. You will get plenty of requests to quote shipping costs to zips tho. Hope you're prepared for that. BTW, sometimes the parts crowd is a bit tough to deal with. Ignore that and you'll be fine.

Welcome to the site, as Allan said post a list in the for sale section. Or your can look for another car and use the parts on it.

Yes it was a matching numbers original U code. It had every option except OAI hood & OAI air cleaner, tilt wheel and cruise. It even had the 442 suspension

Sad you don't have it anymore. That would have been a car worth keeping. Original 72 U code cars are pretty scarce. Was it ordered as a 442 package? Sounds like it might have been a W29.

Still sounds like a nice car. The option that gave it the '442' suspension was the FE2 package. Bet it was a dream to drive.

ride

Yes it rode soooo nice. I had a 71 Lemans sport convertible for a couple of months prior and the Olds was like day and night different in the ride.
