Newbie with a pair of Starfires
Hello Olds folks! I joined months ago when I started considering an Olds build, but this is my first post. I pulled the trigger yesterday on two Starfires ('65 convertible and a '66 coupe). This is my first build, but I've had my hands in some others' projects over the years. This project belonged to the brother of a close friend who recently passed, and this is my attempt to help "keep it in the family."
Not sure which one will be the survivor. The '66 is more complete but has some rust issues. The '65 is the more desirable convertible with very little rust, but is far from complete.
I'll continue to post updates as my inventory becomes more complete. I'm currently collecting parts from multiple locations. Oh, also came with two TH400s, additional quarter panels, 3 sets of seats, and a newly rebuilt D-block 425 with B heads.

Eeek! So am I!
In looking at the photos you posted, I'd say the convertible is hopeless. One look at this would send me screaming from the room!
You'd spend so much time and money getting it back to anything decent that the money would be better spent on one that's in better shape to begin with.
I agree that the coupe is in much better shape and the one to work on.
