Getting back in

Hey all, I'm Jerry. I've had my 76 cutlass for about 20 years but life happens and it's sat in the garage for about the last 10.My son is driving now and bought a 91 Camaro that we saved from the dead and now has an 86 IROC Z. If I'm gonna go wrenching on cars again I'll have to get mine going. It's just time. It's got a '70 461,th400,3.23 10 bolt. So the base is solid but it's going to need paint and interior. Gives me and my 17 year old son something to enjoy together and I've got a 12 year old that likes mustangs. If this keeps me it touch with my kids it's all the better.

Looks like a great base to start with and real clean. Even better if the kids are involved in the fun. :-)

You might want to update the stickers. I'm not sure anyone remembers what disco is or was anymore.

Welcome to the site, leave the disco sticker it's very fitting to the era. It's nice to get the kids involved. Very solid ride, the perk is you know all the history.

I've had a lot of fun with those stickers when someone gets it. Had a lot of good times with this car too. It just took a back seat to job, youth league baseball, taking care of elderly family members and a very old house. The boys have been bugging me about doing something with it so we're looking to have it daily driver ready by next spring. It'll never be a show car but that doesn't mean it can't be a fun car!!!!

Any old car is a show car when people gather around it to look. You'll be surprised!

Interesting plumbing tricks on that engine

So, you have boys that will learn and tool on a car, and not be glued to a TV screen playing shoot-em-up games all day every day? Really?

Thanks, Some of it ain't real pretty but it keeps stuff together and located where it needs to be. My 17 year old is really into cars. He bought a '91 Camaro RS last spring with money he earned helping a guy remodel a house. It's a little rough but we made a dependable car out of it. Now he's hauling pizza and has bought a cherry black '86 IROC Z. So,yeah some kids are still doing real things. Who'd a thunk it.

Welcome to CO Jerry. You will fit right in.
Nice to see that your Son has strive and motivation.
I have two boys myself that could use a little more.
Their baby sis is kicki'n *** and making them look bad.

I'm with Eric, leave the disco sticker. You had to be there
to get that one for sure. Your ride sure looks to be a nice sleeper.
Enjoy the ride.
