1969 442 w30 442 convertible

hello to all I am in fact new to this site came here to do some home work,
and have found some but In this case I don't know if in fact the car that I have found is a real w30 car. with that being said I believe it to be just from what I have found, it has the red inner fender wells one the driver side still has the old beat up tin for the air duct in it no power master on fire wall,un touched 12 bolt with boxed control arms and sway bar with I believe stamped code on axle tube of R2 and date code of D22 also cowl tag of ST69 33667lan388428 tr 930 pnt 52b and time of 05b....this car came from Georgia and is in decent but not great shape the engine and trans are gone so..my needed help here is trying to determine what the car is actually worth I know I need to list pictures and I will but some talk or info is needed as well thank in advance.. my name is steve

Hi this car came was for sale a few years ago
red/black gut
the bottom line without sales invoice (since in 69 no build sheets provided) can never really prove.
back then it sold for on or around 4000 so that would an idea roughly

I would have thought that restoring a car that might be in fact a real original w 30 car would be more desirable than a clone car from the beginning. .I understand that it would still be considered a clone but the probability of it being an original car to start with seems like a better idea to me with pics before the restoration of original dirt and grease and such still I get it no paperwork it's still a clone but just trying to understand if it would be better to do a car that might be one of 91 cars or just a Donner from the start..?

if you can restore that one. I'm not saying its not one just recall the car is all. Also in the 68/69 W-30 land very common that the drive trains are gone due to the 400 G blocks blowing up particularly the manual cars.
There are other things to look for instance check the front fenders and see if you see residue of chalk marks on the inside by marker lights. Another thing to check is the firewall see if there is a factory hole above heater core and a inch or so below top edge. If those two items are present then you probably got something. If the hole is not there in firewall then no because that is where they ran the extended windshield wiper hose to reservoir on W cars .

I will assert that if it is reassembled it with the correct parts it will be a "real" W30. As real as any other.
