Hi all,

A question for all the experts.
I was recently going through some of my late grandfathers stuff he had in a storage build and I came across these. Does anyone know what these wheels go to? What type are they?

1980 Cutlass 4 door. My friend's Mom had a blue one and the rings were the same color as the car.

Do you know how much they are worth if anything?

First offered in 1978 as standard equipment on Cutlass Supreme Brougham. Are they worth anything? Not worth any real money as they weren't all that popular a look.

Yea, I figured they weren't worth much. My grandpa never really had any impressive or expensive cars. Seems like a shame to discard them, maybe recycle the metal. aluminum?, i believe

Eh, see if someone will throw you a couple bucks for them. Don't see too many around, maybe someone is missing one.


Said Mom was driving and lost a cover one day. I went to the local junkyard and got another one, disassembled it to paint the ring blue, and said here, it's a present. She was so excited. She didn't even notice the blue I used was about three shades darker than the car. Well it looked better than not one at all.


An amusing aside, the woman at the junkyard I thought didn't want to sell it to me. She said, these are rare and it took me a long time to get this. I said, how about five bucks. I mean, wasn't that the point of being in business? Oh well. I don't think that place is there anymore, it was Pagoria's in South Chicago Heights, IL.

Wow!, did GM make annual hubcap changes along with sheet metal restyles?.


A couple of pictures and they are identified as fitting an '80 Cutlass 4 door.
Not a 2 door, or '79 or '81 but an '80 4 door.


I'm not being serious btw, but I remember reading in a British American car magazine about a place called "Hubcap Heaven" which was a business dealing with hubcaps for the restoration hobby and replacing lost ones for rental cars.
How accurately can you pin down which years/models were any particular hubcaps fitted to?.
